SHINY WILSON

A National Champion in 800 metres for 14 years. Shiny Abraham Wilson (Shiny Abraham) represented India more than 75 times in international competition. She holds the added distinction of representing Asia in four World Cups, She is also perhaps the only athlete to have taken part in six Asian Track & Field Meets in a row beginning 1985 in Jakarta. During this period she won seven gold, five silver and two bronze medals in the Asian competitions. She collected a total of 18 gold and two silver medals from the seven South Asian Federation (SAF) Meets she has competed.

K M BEENAMOL

She became the third Indian woman to reach an Olympic semi-final since P. T. Usha and Shiny Wilson. She won the gold medal in women's 800m and the 4 × 400 m women's relay in the 2002 Asian Games held at Busan.

K M BINU

K M Binu is an Indian track and field athlete from Kerala who specializes in 400 metres and 800 metres. He held the current 400 metres national record of 45.48 s set at the 2004 Athens Olympics on 20 August 2004. He broke the 44-year-old Olympics mark (by an Indian) held by Milkha Singh who set an Indian National Record with a timing of 45.73 s at the 1960 Rome Olympics. He won the men's 800 metres silver. Binu received the Arjuna Award for the year 2006 for his achievements in the Indian athletics.

PREEJA SREEDHARAN

She holds the national records in both the 10,000 metres and 5000 metres disciplines, which she set en route to the gold and silver medals at 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games. She was conferred with the Arjuna Award, India's second highest sporting honour by the central government in 2011. She won the silver medal in both the disciplines at the Asian Athletics Championships. She bettered her personal bests and the Indian national records in both the 10000 and 5000 meters at 2010 Asian Games; she won the gold in the 10000 meters and the silver in 5000 meters.

SALIKUTTY P A

Salikutty P A is famous for his expolits on the football field. He was the member of the Kerala State Football team that finished runner up at 1990-91 Santhosh Trophy held at Goa. P A SaliKutty suffered a career ending injury during Pre-Olympics football camp. But football is in the jugular veins of SaliKutty, unfazed by the injury he decided to don the uniform of a football coach. But the road ahead was not smooth. He was unable to find an apt space for providing football coaching, but didn't give up. Soon he took land on lease and set up Soccer Academy on the same.
Ever since P A SaliKutty has coached over 1000s of youngsters which include international soccer stars N B Pradeep, Santhosh Kumar and Sanush Raj. Every day over 100s of kids and adults attend his soccer academy for coaching in football. To promote football amongst women, he has started football coaching for women.

BABY VARGHESE

Shri Baby Varghese has been regularly participating in National, State, Service and Masters Aquatic Championships for 27 years since 1993. He has a haul of more than 100 medals which inculde Gold and Silver medals won at various national & international championships. Shri Baby Varghese has represented India at many national & international championships.
Shri Baby Varghese has set up a world class aquatic facility in the backyard of his house at Vandamattom, near Thodupuzha to provide aquatic training to men and women of all age groups. He has christened the aquatic facility "Vandamattom Aquatic Centre", where he provides coaching in swimming for 100s of children every day. So far he has provided training in swimming to more than 10000 people.
His efforts are more targeted at preventing deaths due to drowning than nurturing swimming stars. He is driven more by his commitment to the safety and wellness of the society.
Shri Baby Varghese is currently employed with Panchayath and hold the positions of Secretary of Idukki District Aquatics Association, Vice-President of State Aquatic Association and Vice-President of Idukki District Olympic Association.
